Martin Schoeller was born in Germany in 1968 and grew up there. His website states that he was influenced by what he saw growing up and that led to his specific style of portraits. He moved to NY where he started his career and worked for many notable companies. His unique style is the same for all of his photographs whether it is celebrities or regular everyday people.
